All of my work is thrown on the wheel in my home studio in South Jordan, Utah. The process of batch making pottery by hand takes about 3-4 weeks from start to finish. Each piece begins as a ball of clay that is then thrown on a wheel or handbuilt. Once dried for a few days, I trim, carve, and add the pretty little details (my most favorite part!) Then the pieces are loaded and fired in my kiln into bisque ware, after which they are glazed and fired a second time to Cone 6(2232°F) which finishes them into durable stoneware. I pride myself in making pieces that are beautiful, functional and make the world a better place. I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoyed making it!
